About the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians
EFAD is the umbrella organization representing National Dietetic Associations across Europe. Its primary mission is to enhance nutritional health and promote sustainable diets throughout the continent. EFAD advocates for the leadership role of dietitians, working in collaboration with its members and stakeholders to achieve the shared goal of improving the health and quality of life of European citizens.

About the Agricultural University of Athens
The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) is the 3rd oldest university in Greece established in 1920 in the city centre of Athens. As a university, it is devoted to the study and improvement of the agrifood value chain, covering all stages of food production, promotion, resource management and technological development. In Dis4Food, AUA is represented through the Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Analysis (LFCA), a part of the Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition. The Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Analysis is a partner with years-long experience in working with food data and a vast network of partners across Europe.
AUA-LFCA developed the first Branded Food Composition Database for Greece in 2021 and has since been actively advancing food composition data research. It is a member of the European Food Information Resource (EuroFIR), an organisation with the largest network of food data specialists and the only Europe-wide repository of food composition data, good practice documents and quality guidelines. It is a member of the consortium tasked by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to develop an EU-wide open access food composition database.
As a partner AUA-LFCA, brings decades of experience in the development of vocational education and training (VET) projects in agrifood, addressed to multiple audiences including dietitians and nutritionists. Within Dis4Food, AUA-LFCA will act as a hub for expertise exchange between food scientists, data scientists, food composition experts, food chemists, nutritionists and dietitians to combine skills and knowledge in order to create state-of-the-art training in food data for nutrition and health.
